I have been fortunate enough to have visited a vast number of areas in the world; however, the Maldives is irrefutably the most beautiful place I have ever seen. In fact I can think of no adjectives that are adequate in describing its immense beauty. The terms “white sandy beaches” and “crystal clear waters” are now used in such abundance that I feel it would be an injustice to use them to describe the Maldives. The only way to truly appreciate this tropical paradise is to see it for yourself, but for now, I hope that I have managed to capture even an inch of its beauty through the images below.
We stayed at the newly opened lifestyle luxury resort called OZEN by Atmosphere on Maadhoo island. The all-inclusive concept is centred around that of indulgence; from the free flowing Moët, to the exquisite seven course dinners in the resort’s own underwater restaurant, this was an experience like no other.
The island itself is quite small, with its circumference only taking around 20 minutes to explore by foot, but its size gave it a certain intimacy that only added to its charm. This charm was epitomised by the staff, who were some of the most genuinely friendly people I have ever come across.
Although the infinity pool area was particularly magical at sunset, it was equally as impressive during the day, with the blue of the pool blending into the turquoise of the indian ocean and to the sky beyond.
The OZEN team were also kind enough to upgrade us to the Beach-front villa with a pool, the architecture of which was the perfect amalgamation between contemporary and luxurious, whilst also blending into the natural vegetation with its wooden paneling and thatched roof.
I feel that I have only scratched the surface in terms of showcasing what OZEN has to offer, so next week I will be posting Part II, which will include more about the food and activities that are available.
Please let me know if you have visited the Maldives before, I would love to hear what you thought of it!
