Within the health industry ‘superfood’ has been a buzzword for some time now. Additionally, there has been a move towards higher protein diets and as such the popularity of protein powders has been increasing year on year. I therefore found it ingenious of That Protein to combine these two trends into one product: the “Super Protein” and was delighted when they offered to send me some samples to try.
The products are a fusion of organic vegan protein and organic superfoods and come in a variety of flavours, including Pumpkin and Chia Seed and Choca Mocha. However, seeing as cacao is one of my personal favourite superfoods, naturally I chose the Brown Rice and Raw Cacao Super Protein to try. I have mainly been using it post workout mixed into my porridge, or stirring it through greek yogurt for a great high protein snack. However the best way that I have tried it is undoubtedly in this smoothie bowl. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Ingredients (serves 1):
1 frozen banana
12g of Brown Rice and Raw Cacao Super Protein from That Protein

- Add the frozen banana, protein powder, almond butter, stevia drops and water to a high powered blender and blend until smooth.
