It’s that time of year again when the streets are packed full of people looking for the perfect gift to give to their loved ones. I know from personal experience that it can be quite hard to come up with new and exciting ideas for presents each year, which is why I thought I’d give you a few ideas of my favourite items that all make the perfect gift for fitness enthusiasts!
- A Gym Tote
I received this as a gift for Christmas last year from Hip and Healthy‘s website and I absolutely love it. I use it all the time, and always get compliments on it and people asking me where it’s from.
It’s so much more stylish than your average gym bag, which means that you can go directly from the gym to work, brunch, shopping, etc. Not only does it look great, but the quality is incredible too. It’s made from breathable, waterproof fabrics, which means that your sweaty clothes won’t start to smell, as is usually the case in a normal gym bag. There is also a wipeable compartment at the bottom, which is perfect for storing your shoes, or in some cases, your boxing gloves! There are then a multitude of other sections where you can keep your valuables and clothes away from your dirty trainers.
2. Lorna Jane Sportswear
I am lucky enough to be a brand ambassador for this company and I truly believe in everything Lorna Jane stands for, the philosophy behind the company and the three pillars of Move, Nourish, Believe, upon which it is based. Both the design and quality of the clothes is incredible, it is without a doubt my favourite fitness brand and is consequently where I get the majority of my workout gear!
As this is an Australian brand though, unfortunately there are not many physical stores in Europe where you can find the clothes. However, I usually buy mine online from Lorna Jane Europe or Active in Style. There is such an incredible selection of sports bars, printed tees, leggings, as well as Lorna Jane’s collection of lifestyle and cook books. One of my personal favourites is her latest book; Inspired, which not only looks beautiful, but is also full of healthy recipes, tips and tricks for living a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
3. Quest Bars
These are hands down the best tasting protein bars on the market. My friend thought I was a brand representative because I make all of my friends try them, just to see their reactions of amazement by how good they taste.
It is actually impossible to describe their incredible taste in words, but it is safe to say I prefer the Cookies & Cream, S’Mores and White Chocolate Raspberry variations more than most chocolate bars or desserts. It’s amazing how these bars can completely satisfy your sweet tooth, whilst providing you with 20g of protein and less than 1g of sugar! Again these are not available in many shops, and I consequently buy mine online from Muscle Food.
They also taste great as a light breakfast alternative. Simply place your bar of choice into the microwave for 30 seconds, chop into bite sized chunks and serve with greek yogurt, raspberries and a sprinkling of nuts.
4. A diary or notebook
With the New Year just around the corner and everyone setting themselves resolutions to be the best versions of themselves, a planner or diary makes the perfect gift. I personally love this 2016 Planner that Lorna Jane sent me, that’s not only a full diary for the year, but is also packed full of recipes, beautiful images and quotes.
Another options is this one that I got from SeaSoulAndSnow and have been writing it in nearly every day. I’ve found it a really useful tool, not only to plan my workouts and meals for the week, but also as a means of reflection to see how far I’ve come and how my thoughts and ideas have changed over time.
I hope these have given you some useful ideas of what to buy for your loved ones! Happy Shopping!
